Hi – my name is Bobby Karegianes and welcome to my own personal hair loss blog. Believe it or not – about fifteen years ago – I was a bald guy. It’s true! I was out of shape, overweight and looking and feeling much older than I really was. Not fun at all – and if you’re going through it yourself you know exactly what I’m talking about – it sucks! Hair loss seemed even more devastating to me because I actually used to get compliments on my hair when I was younger – now it was going, going FAST and I really didn’t know what I could do about it.
After several years of trying products that were nothing more than empty promises and a hair system that didn’t fit with my active lifestyle, I sought out the natural and permanent solution of hair transplantation with the leaders at Medical Hair Restoration. When I actually saw the work that the MHR Doctor was performing, and the fact that it was the perfect marriage of my own permanent, natural hair transplanted in such a natural way that no one could ever tell I’d ever lost a hair, I KNEW this was for me!
The procedure was simple, within a year my hair grew in and I was back to cutting it, combing it and styling it just the way I wanted. Even growing it out long as you’ll see in some of my videos and pictures here. Bottom line: this was one of the best investments I ever made in my life – because it was an investment in me and my future. If you’re losing your hair and want it back – this is the way to go!
Bobby, good stuff…thanks. The widows peak definitely makes the hairline look more natural. Was it difficult finding a Doc that would create a style like that with such fine detail?
MHR doctors are trained in the fine art of of ultra-refined follicular unit transplants. Any of their doctors can place grafts as close together as when the hair grew before you lost it!
Informative and productive. That was really good stuff for hair restoration. Going for hair surgery with quality doctors and better surgeons is also a good option for hair loss treatment for both men and woment
I’ve been thinking about having a hair transplant for awhile now, but I’m just not sure who I should go to. When you were doing your research, what qualifications did you look for in your doctor?
Thanks Kenny! You know, I tried to look at things two ways: what is the doctors training/experience and what kind of results is he getting with his patients. It needed to be a balance of both things. I loved the fact that my MHR doctor was ABHRS and ISHRS certified and had done thousands of procedures, but when I took the “Pepsi Challenge” as I like to call it – the proof was right there. I looked at a lot of his past patients through photo books and the results I saw is what sealed the deal for me. At the end of the day the results never lie. So, experience, board certification and results were my main criteria. Hope this helps!

I’m 27 and I’ve been losing my hair for the past 2 or 3 years. I want to do something about my hair loss before it becomes too noticeable. Is hair transplantation a good option for a guy my age, or should I just use Propecia?
I was just searching for about this when I discovered your blog post. I’m only dropping by to say that I definitely liked seeing this post, it is really clear and well written. Are you going to post more on this? It looks like there is more material here for future posts.
Great question Steve! In your case I think it’s really important to have a consultation and meet with a doctor so they can determine if you’d be a good candidate at this time. Your family history and current loss pattern will have a lot to do with their final recommendation. Because you’ve been losing for a few years now and are only 27, Propecia may be suggested no matter what. A doctor who’s looking out for your best interest will take into account your long term goals, resources (the donor area) and see if the two match up to make you a good candidate. My suggestion? Get in for a consultation right away!
